Teaching Amy how to smile!

We take for granted that children know what it means when they hear "smile"! We began toting Ashleigh and Austin to Sears for pictures when they were two weeks old. Smiling for the camera was nearly second nature to them.

We have never seen a picture of Amy smiling while at the orphanage. That doesn't mean she didn't smile, but apparently "saying cheese" wasn't part of the routine for referral pictures.

Tonight we were trying to help Amy learn that when someone is pointing a camera at you and they say "smile", you are supposed to look at the camera and smile at the person holding the camera. Here are a few of the responses she gave to us!
Enjoy!!!

How adorable! How are Ashleigh and Austin adjusting? I bet you're excited to spend all summer together as a newly-family-of-five... :) Phil & Amanda
